SF Neo Futurists
30 original plays in 60 minutes, ranging from the personal, to the political, to the profoundly WTF. No two shows are the same. See the show the SF Chronicle calls one of "22 San Francisco things everyone must do!”
Every Friday & Saturday at 9:00 PM.
The San Francisco Neo Futurists are a prolific ensemble of writers/directors/performers who produce performative, non-illusory work. (Meaning: we don't ask you to suspend disbelief). Rooted in chance and chaos, we seek to directly respond to the world around us. The Infinite Wrench is a weekly, ongoing, ever-changing show during which we attempt to perform 30 non-illusory plays within the time constraint of one hour.
Each week, the performing ensemble cuts a randomized number of plays (between 2 and 12), and each individual writes new plays to pitch to the group for the next week. So, the show is a constantly-changing endeavor: a fusion of living newspaper and sport that aims to tell stories of the world as it is now.
I have been a writer/director/performer in the Neo Futurist ensemble since the fall of 2024. Since then, I have been in the regular show 20 weekends out of the year and produced a two-night-only specialty show about a nonstandard brain with an all-neurodivergent cast, titled "The Neodivergent Wrench" in 2026. In addition to performing, I support our grant writing, marketing, and merch, including designs for stickers, t-shirts, bandanas, and our yearly chapbooks filled with written scripts.
